Advanced System Configuration

At this stage, you start adjusting the operation of the registration system and its modules, according to your individual needs. The configuration module enables broadly-defined adjusting of the application to individual needs.

The available sections of the Advanced System Configuration enable carrying out, among others, the following:
  • Entering implementation headers that will be visible in a browser, as well as adding logo and descriptions on the banners located in the upper section of the website;
  • Activating locking of the website or entire implementation;
  • Creating types of participants, preparing a list of conference facilities and rooms, and assign limits of seats to them;
  • Preparing a list of lecturers that can be assigned to agenda items;
  • Configuring the participant registration process, including the preparing of a list of all fields in the registration form;
  • Configuring addresses of mailboxes integrated with the system;
  • Entering translation for each new language version of implementation;
  • Managing other processes that depend on additional modules activated in the system.
This section enables you to enter a number of basic changes aimed at adjusting the website or the registration form, according to your individual needs. The available options enable the following:
  • Entering HTML meta-tags: page title (visible in the title of the browser window), description (visible on browser pages, such as Google.com), and key words (they support positioning of the website in browsers);
  • Loading of the logotype that will appear in the top section of the implementation page;
  • Swapping of the background and content of a static banner visible below the logotype and navigation (in the case of websites built based on the Website module);
  • Selecting a default file with CSS styles for the website (a CSS file contains a definition of each element visible on the website, its colour scheme, and the applied typography).

This section is only available to owners of the CONREGO Pro version or the Website add-on. The sole option available on this page enables swapping the website homepage with a questionnaire form.

The first section used to perform functional adjustment of the registration system, according to actual needs, is the Event Settings section. The available panels enable you to do the following:
  • Enter a list with types of participationthat are available during the registration process;
  • Apply limits, regarding the numbers of people registering for a particular type of participation;
  • Enter invitation codes that will unlock certain types of participation, at the so-called zero step (activate invitation codes in the Registration Process section);
  • Create names for conference facilities and rooms, and define limits of seats for each of them;
  • Add particular lecturers.

This section has been built for organisers, who need to keep a planned event in secret and lock public access to all information regarding the event. The available functionality enables restricting access to the website and registration form, to login and password only. This option is also useful, when carrying implementation work, in order to prevent third parties from seeing an unfinished project.

This is one of the most expanded configuration sections and yet another proof that CONREGO is a flexible system. Thanks to the available functionality, you will be able to:
  • Select registration statuses that will lock seats in conference rooms and hotel rooms (the so-called complete statuses);
  • Determine, whether multiple registrations will be possible using a single email address, and the conditions on which that would be possible;
  • Start registration based on invitation codes, which will lock the registration form, until the participant has entered an invitation code (according to the type of participation or an individual code assigned to one’s own registration);
  • Activate management of individual invitation codes;
  • Activate management of invitation codes, according to types of participation;
  • Determine a global invitation code that will constitute an alternative to the aforementioned variants;
  • Activate the possibility of adding participants from the level of the administrator panel;
  • Activate the option of logging in and editing data, by participants;
  • Activate logs of changes, regarding registration;
  • Activate basic data import to database (enabling this option means that the XLS files with imported data should only contain 6 columns, which greatly accelerates the process of importing);
  • Activate additional mass operations and tags created by your software developer.

The options available in this section enable the following:
  • Activating access to a panel that enables logging of participants into the previously completed registration to edit it;
  • Activating hashing (encrypting) of passwords of participants, which enhances data safety.

The Registration Form section enables you to build a list and define types for all fields in the form, which will then be arranged into sections, using the Step I: Form panel. This section contains functions that enable:
  • Adding, removing, and configuring of fields in the registration form, by defining their identifiers, field types, and potential option values for such field types as select, radio button or checkbox.
  • Mapping of fields that can be configured in relation to the basic fields in the database;
  • Creating a list of fields for a registration form with values that should be made available in all steps of the registration process (it is a useful function, if you intend to perform deep modifications of the registration process, i.e. going as deep as interfering in the PHP code – in other words, it is intended for software developers);

The Agenda Configurationsection enables:
  • Disabling the second step of the registration process (it will be ignored in its entirety, during registration; therefore, it is recommended to apply this option, if you intend to start global registering for an event, without dividing it into individual items of agenda);
  • Selecting agenda items (configured using the Step II: Agenda section) that each participant registering for an event will be automatically signed up for.

The Hotel Configuration section enables:
  • Disabling the third step of the registration process (it will be ignored in its entirety, during registration; therefore, it is recommended to apply this option, if you intend to start registering without any option for hotel booking);
  • Activating an option that enables simultaneous selection of more than one hotel by a single participant (configured using the Step III: Accommodation section), during the registration process;
  • Defining final dates (from-to) for the availability of the rooms assigned to the hotels configured in the system.

The Email Configuration section enables:
  • Activating locking the executing of scripts on the server, according to the CRON task scheduler
  • Entering or generating a random access key to the scripts called by CRON (it will secure your implementation against an uncontrolled calling of scripts that are executed by CRON, by third parties);
  • Configuring the DKIM key that will be used to sign all messages sent by the system on your server (it will eliminate the risk of classifying your mailings as SPAM, to a large extent);
  • Determining the method of sending email messages, i.e. by a native or external SMTP server (through authorised access);
  • Entering email addresses of the sender of mailings delivered using the Communication module;,
  • Entering an email address of the sender of a message with registration confirmation, payment confirmation and messages sent automatically, using the Questionnaires module;

The functionality offered by this module is only available to the owners of the system with the Questionnaires add-on. Thanks to the functionality offered by the Questionnaires module, this section enables, among others, the following:
  • Activating a functionality that enables importing of questionnaire data to the application database;
  • Activating automatic sending of email messages containing information about a new application, to the moderator;
  • Selecting statuses of questionnaires, which, if assigned, will enable automatic sending of an email message about acceptance or rejection, to the author;
  • Mapping of fields that can be configured in relation to the basic fields in the database;
  • Adding, removing, and configuring of fields in the registration form, by defining their identifiers, field types, and potential option values for such field types as select, radio button or checkbox.

The functionality offered by this module is only available to the owners of the system with the Reception Desk add-on or with both the Reception Desk and Access Control add-ons. This section enables, among others, the following:
  • activating participants tracking;
  • managing ID badges printing options at the reception desk;
  • embeding a link to website in participants QR codes
  • embeding a link to virtual business card of participant in their QR codes
The module provides full control over the language versions your implementation of the CONREGO system will be based on. The functionality offered by the module enables:
  • Adding new language versions and selecting a default language version;
  • Entering translations of many elements of the interface for each of the prepared language versions.

The Code Editor is an alternative to all applications that make it possible to interfere with the source code of the CONREGO system files. You can use a very convenient interface to modify PHP, CSS, and JS files from the level of the application itself.
