CONREGO System Update – New Event Website Module

In the latest CONREGO update, we have introduced a completely new block-based content management system (CMS) for event websites. This article explains how it works and what blocks it offers.

How does the new CMS work?

The new block-based CMS lets you build event websites from ready-made blocks that can be created once and reused across multiple subpages. Instead of building each page from scratch, an administrator selects ready-made content blocks, configures their content, and arranges them in the desired order in the page builder.

The most important characteristic of the system is the separation of content from page layout. Blocks are managed centrally, so a once-prepared element — such as an agenda, a speakers section, or a gallery — can be used in many places. If a block is updated, the changes will appear everywhere the block has been used.

The new CMS offers two modes of work. The first is block mode, in which the page is built from ready-made components. The second is Custom code mode, intended for situations where full control over HTML is needed. In most cases, block mode is recommended as it speeds up work, reduces the risk of errors, and makes it easier to maintain consistency.

The system is integrated with event branding. This means that many visual elements — such as buttons, colours, borders, and border radii — can automatically use the page appearance settings. In addition, blocks are responsive, allowing content to be displayed correctly on desktops, tablets, and phones.

Multilingual support is also an important part of the CMS. Block names and their content can be translated in a dedicated translation module. This applies to both simple text fields and more complex structures such as speaker lists, FAQs, and hotels.

What types of content blocks can be created?

Banner

This is a system block responsible for the main opening section of the page. It is not a classic manually edited block — it uses settings saved in the Branding module. This ensures that the main event presentation remains consistent with the visual identity of the entire page.

Registration form

This is also a system block. It uses the event's registration form configuration and is responsible for presenting the registration start mechanism. Its presence on the page can be controlled at the page architecture level.

Graphic banner

This block is used to display a full-width image adapted to the user's device. The administrator uploads three versions of the image: for desktop, tablet, and phone. A CTA button can be placed on the image, aligned to the left, centre, or right.

Ticket packages

This block retrieves selected ticket types from the system and presents them as cards. Each card can contain a name, description, optional price, highlight, and a button to proceed to registration. It is a convenient tool for building a sales section.

HTML content

A universal block for publishing any content edited in the editor. It can contain text, images, various image-to-text layouts, as well as basic typographic elements and links. It is the best choice for descriptive and editorial sections.

Countdown timer

This block counts down to a specific date and time. It can be used to highlight the event start date, end of ticket sales, or an important organisational deadline. If needed, it can also include an additional CTA button.

Agenda

One of the most comprehensive sections. It allows you to build a full event programme divided into days, times, rooms, and tracks. Agenda items can have sponsors, speakers, short and extended descriptions, and can be filtered by the user. Detail modals are available for agenda items.

Speakers

This block presents a list of speakers in a grid layout. Each item can contain a photo, prefix, title, first name, last name, position, and description. Clicking on an item opens a modal with speaker details. The block can also work together with the agenda.

Partners / Sponsors

A block designed to present partners, sponsors, and brand logos associated with the event. You can display logos only, or logos with names. A modal with additional information can be prepared for each partner.

News

This block enables the publication of news items as cards. Each card can contain a photo, publication date, headline, introductory text, and a button leading to further content. It is a useful section for organisers who regularly communicate changes and announcements.

Hotels

This block is used to present recommended accommodation options. Hotel cards can contain photos, a star rating, description, walking and driving distance from the main venue, and a CTA button. Hotels can also be filtered using tags.

Gallery

A block for presenting photos. It supports two display styles: a photo grid and a carousel. The administrator can set the number of items per row and manually sort the order of images.

FAQ

A questions-and-answers section presented as an accordion. It is also possible to create tags and filter questions by topic. This is a practical solution for informational sections and participant support.

Google Maps (embed)

This block allows a map to be embedded using an embed code. It can be combined with HTML content and positioned to the left, right, above, or below the content. It is well suited for presenting the event location or related venues.

Video (embed)

This block is used to embed content from YouTube or Vimeo. Simply paste the video link to display it on the page. It is a good solution for trailers, event recaps, and promotional materials.

Popup (modal)

This block displays an automatic modal when a user visits the page. You can define its content, size, display delay, frequency, and an optional CTA button. It is a useful tool for special announcements, last-minute sign-ups, and important notices.

Footer

A block built from columns, each of which can have its own heading and content. It allows you to flexibly build the final section of the page, for example with contact details, links, an organiser's note, or additional information.

Summary

The new block-based CMS is recommended wherever speed of work, content consistency, the ability to reuse prepared sections, and convenient management of a multilingual event website are priorities.

NOTE: The new CMS is the default for all CONREGO subscriptions created after 20 March 2026. If you prefer the previous page builder and would like to continue working in the old style, please let us know — we will activate the legacy page builder for you.
