Update 2026.08.08
CONREGO system update - more options after registration and new email integrations
In the latest CONREGO update, we are giving attendees more control over their registrations while making it easier for organizers to send messages from their own email accounts. We have added data and offer update links for completed registrations, as well as integrations with Google and Microsoft accounts via OAuth 2.0.
What's new at a glance
- Attendees can correct or complete the information they provided during registration.
- Attendees can select or purchase additional offer items, such as workshops, sessions, and extra services.
- Organizers can use CONREGO to send messages from their own Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook.com, Microsoft 365, or Exchange Online accounts.
- Connecting an email account does not require sharing its password with CONREGO and grants the system only the permission needed to send messages.
1. Updating a registration after it has been completed
Once registration is complete, the standard invitation link stops working. Until now, correcting a typo, completing missing information, or adding a service required assistance from the organizer. The new update links allow attendees to handle selected tasks themselves - even when their registration is already paid, unpaid, or completed.
Two independent types of links are available:
| Link type | What the attendee can do |
|---|---|
| Data update link | Correct or complete information from the registration form. |
| Offer update link | Select or purchase additional offer items, such as a workshop, session, or extra service. |
You can provide an attendee with either link or both, depending on the changes you want to allow.

How do I share a link with an attendee?
You can copy the link from the "Links" menu on the Attendee card and send it in a message. The email and SMS message templates also include tags for these links, ensuring that each recipient automatically receives their own individual link. Good places to include them are the registration confirmation or a reminder sent closer to the event.
After opening the link, the attendee verifies the registering person's email address. They can then access the relevant form, save their changes, and receive an email confirmation.
What should I know about offer updates?
The offer update link is used to select new items. It does not allow an attendee to remove or replace items selected previously. If the new items require payment, CONREGO creates a separate transaction and a new pro forma invoice for them. Free items are simply saved and confirmed by email.
The feature also supports group registrations. In this case, one link is assigned to the registering person and allows them to update information or select additional offer items for the entire group.

2. Sending email through Google and Microsoft accounts via OAuth 2.0
CONREGO can now connect directly to a Google or Microsoft account. Registration and transaction confirmations, invitations, and other messages configured in the system can therefore be sent through your own Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook.com, Microsoft 365, or Exchange Online account.
Recipients receive messages from a familiar company address, while organizers can manage their CONREGO communications without having to configure an SMTP connection for these providers.
How does the connection work?
Go to Settings > Integrations > Email Accounts to begin. Select Google or Microsoft, sign in to the account you want to use for sending messages, and accept the required permission. Once authorization is complete, the account will be available in CONREGO as an outgoing email account.

Can CONREGO read messages in the mailbox?
No. The integration uses OAuth 2.0, so CONREGO does not receive or store the password to the Google or Microsoft account. The granted permission allows CONREGO only to send messages on the user's behalf. It does not provide access to the inbox, correspondence history, contacts, or calendars.
The account can be disconnected at any time in the CONREGO settings. The precise scope of access, token storage rules, and user obligations are described in a separate document:

Summary
The new features reduce the time spent handling common post-registration requests and make it easier to communicate with attendees from your own address. Update links let attendees keep their information current and expand their order independently, while the OAuth 2.0 integrations simplify the secure connection between CONREGO and a Google or Microsoft email account.
Consider adding the update links to the registration confirmation and test sending a message from the connected email account before you begin communicating with attendees.
