How to create a post-event survey in CONREGO

The CONREGO system does not include a separate survey module. In practice, a post-event survey is implemented as an additional registration process, where participants complete a form containing survey questions.

Thanks to this approach:

  • each response is assigned to a specific participant,
  • answers can be viewed directly on the participant’s profile,
  • survey results can be exported and analyzed in reports.

Below is one of the recommended ways to prepare a post-event survey in CONREGO.

1. Add survey questions to the default template

Start by opening the Default Registration Template settings.

In the registration form, add the questions that should appear in the survey, for example:

  • overall event rating,
  • feedback on speakers,
  • suggestions for future editions of the event.

In the Participant Offer section you can add an item called Survey and set its price to 0, so that completing the survey is free of charge.

The default template should contain all fields and offer elements that may be used across different registration scenarios.

2. Create a dedicated registration template for the survey

Next, create an additional registration template that will be used exclusively for completing the survey.

In this template you can:

  • display only selected form fields,
  • mark the Survey offer as visible and required,
  • hide fields that are not needed for the survey.

You can also assign separate email templates to this registration template, such as:

  • confirmation of survey submission,
  • a thank-you message for completing the survey.

Finally, assign this template to a separate Ticket Type, for example Post-Event Survey.

3. Prepare an email invitation to the survey

The next step is to create an email message inviting participants to complete the survey.

The message should include:

  • a short thank-you for attending the event,
  • an invitation to share feedback,
  • a registration link to the survey form.

You can insert the link in two ways:

  • as a system TAG,
  • or as a button linking directly to the survey form.

4. Send personalized survey invitations

If you want each participant to receive a personalized survey link, follow these steps:

  1. Export the list of participants from the event.
  2. Import the list back into CONREGO.
  3. During the import process, assign participants to the ticket type Survey.
  4. Send the prepared email message containing the invitation link.

This ensures that each participant receives their own unique survey link, and all responses are assigned to the correct participant record in the system.

5. Review survey responses

Once participants complete the survey, you can:

  • view responses directly on the participant profile,
  • generate reports with survey answers.

Alternative method – a general survey link

There is also a simpler way to collect feedback from participants.

Instead of sending personalized links, you can include a direct link to the “Survey” ticket type in your email message.

In this scenario:

  • the message is sent to already registered participants,
  • participants open the survey form using a shared link,
  • they provide their details and complete the survey.

The advantage of this approach is that no export or re-import of participants is required.

Summary

By using registration templates and ticket types, you can easily create a post-event survey in CONREGO.

Key benefits of this approach include:

  • responses assigned to specific participants,
  • easy reporting and analysis of results,
  • automated email communication with participants.
