#eventgoer: The Event Manager

Hi! My name is Lena Reacher. I’m an event goer. I’m really sorry but I need to be going. A minute? Fine, I figure they should manage. But only a minute!

#eventgoer: The Event Manager

You will see me at events like... really? Haha, any events that require management. In particular, I specialize in corporate events.

I pay particular attention to everything. And it’s not a figure of speech or exaggeration. True, many tasks are carried out by specialists but I’m responsible for the entire thing. So I pay attention

I expect my team to be engaged and effective. Organizing an event is a daunting task and I wouldn’t be able to tackle it myself. So I need people I can count on. It’s only human to make mistakes and this is where engagement comes into play - I know they will do whatever it takes to fix the mistake and salvage the situation.

I’m annoyed when the client won’t let me work. Don’t get me wrong, we do it all for the client and we do listen to the client. I also understand that corporations have their regulations as to events and their conditions must be met. But sometimes it’s just pure extravagance that I’ve already tested and I know will not work.

What I like most is when everything goes according to the plan. Sadly, this is not always the case. Sometimes, screwups do happen. Such as right now… Sorry, I really have to go!

Thank you for your time and insight, Lena. What am I supposed to write now? Usually, I wrote tips on how to handle that person at your event but if you organize events, then this entry is about you, so…  yeah.Look forward to another event goer soon!
